There's a Celebration in the Land
Hey All,
Head on over and visit Leslie, at the The Gossiping Goddess, and celebrate her great fortune in having a successful shop after only six months in business. What an inspiring business woman she is. Of course, it helps that she makes beautiful components and jewelry. So, scurry on over and view the loveliness, and while you are there, she's having a give-away. You might win a prize.....

!!! BURPPPP !!!
(It really is 12:10am on Aug.11. My computer time is correct, I can't figure out how to change blogger from Pacific time to Eastern time.)
Excuuuuse me...that is some tasty soup. Welcome all to the 2nd reveal of the 6th BEAD SOUP BLOG PARTY.
Our wonderful hostess, Lori Anderson, paired us up and sent us on an incredible journey that challenged us all. Thank you, Lori, for being the hostess with the mostess! You can find all of the participants here. Scroll down to the second reveal date, grab a comfy chair and something to snack on, you're going to be here a while.
Without further ado....here is a reminder of what my marvy partner, Rochelle, sent to me.
And this is what I did with some, most especially the focal beads and the clasp, that she sent. Please excuse the picture quality, poor woman + phone camera = not so great pictures.
This necklace I am calling Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil. It is immediately what I thought of when I opened the package from Rochelle. I love the pendant and the little midnight blue seed beads. The clasp was just what I wanted, as I like to work in copper. I offset the clasp so that it is on the side like a flower in a garden, then added one of the copper flowers on the other side for a little bit of balance. I used scarlet and jet rondells for the Evil element. I then paired them with the midnight blue of the seed beads, a blue rondelle and white opals to give me the Good of a midnight sky with moonlight shining down. I LOVE this necklace!
This necklace I'm calling Under the Sea. I used the second focal that Rochelle sent and added a couple of Puffer fish that I had in my stash from Green Girl Studios. I also raided my stash for the water like seed beads and the green glass rings that matched perfectly with the focal. The necklace is totally adjustable as the glass rings slide on the cord.
Well, there it is. I hope that you visit all the other participants, most especially my partner, Rochelle. I am still being challenged by what she sent. I did intend to use everything she gifted me with, but time got away from me, so I hope to use the rest of her gift in other projects.
I need to send out a big THANK YOU, to Monique. She knows who she is and what she did, which was save my bacon. Thanks, girl, I owe ya.
Happy Blog Party, all. Hugs and Kisses to Lori, and remember to hydrate and rest those fingers every once in a while.

HURRY! HURRY! HURRY!
The fab Lori Anderson is hosting a great giveaway (with a small challenge thrown in). I'm gonna give it a try, and I hope you will too.
In other news... The Picture that Never Was. I went out the other day to try to take photos of my beautiful Bead Soup offerings and some great new pendants that I received. I had it all planned. I have a nice weathered board that I snagged from an old planter box and I set it up at the perfect angle to take the perfect shot. I put the pendents down to wait while I shot my Soup, and BAMM!!! I had set my board on a saw horse that has been sitting up by the house FOREVER, and I didn't realize that a colony of wasps had built a nest right at the top of the A-frame. I got stung at the base of my ring finger. OUCH! DAMNNNNN!!! (and a lot of ***&&&!!!). I'm allergic to all type of insect stings so I always freak when it happens. Into the house I ran. I took a shot of Benadryl and went looking for the baking soda. Of course, we're out. I had to send my handy helper down the block to my brother's house to see if my sister-in-law had any. I made a paste with the baking soda and plastered it on the huge welt that was developing and then I crashed into a Benadryl induced coma for a couple of hours. But, not be for I exacted burning hot revenge, by going outside and spraying the snot out of those wasps. HA!! Mess with me, will ya!!!
And that is why there is no picture of my Soup. That, and it's not time for the reveal, yet. I'm gonna give it another try this evening. However, because everyone like to see pictures on blogs, here ya go...
